The following
are School rules & regulations for the training environment.
Any questions concerning these regulations, by all means, ask the instructor.
EQUIPMENT
& ATTIRE
1. Attire is informal, yet should allow for free-range of movement.
2. Arrive to class with comfortable running shoes. (You can train barefoot
if you prefer, however, for warm-ups we may do some outdoor running.)
3. When on the mats you must wear wrestling shoes or train barefoot.
4. Hand protection is mandatory when working with focus mitts & pads.
At a minimum, inexpensive boxing hand-wraps will suffice. (Wraps can be purchased
through UMA or visit Resource page for equipment)
5. Use of Personal equipment needs approval by the instructor and must be
kept clean and in good repair.
SAFETY
1. Free sparring is only allowed under the direct supervision of an instructor.
2. If engaging in free sparring, students must wear proper safety equipment.
Mouth guards and gloves are mandatory. Males should have and use a groin protector.
3. A student who takes class assumes total responsibility for his or her safety
and physical condition. Inform the Instructor prior to class of any injury
or condition which may limit or restrict your movement.
4. All injuries must be reported immediately to the Instructor.
HEALTH
AND HYGIENE
1. Stay hydrated. Bring a water bottle and replenish yourself whenever needed.
Keep bottles clear from the training environment.
2. Keep fingernails and toenails trimmed and clean. Long hair should be tied
back and jewelry removed.
3. No chewing gum while training. It is hazardous -- a fast or unexpected
movement could induce choking.
IN
ADDITION...
1. A person causing damage to Unbridled Martial Arts property shall
be liable for repair or replacement.
2. These rules are intended as a general guideline. A student should endeavor
to behave in accordance with good manners, common decency and common sense.
