Unbeaten Strikeforce Women’s World Welterweight Champion and former ballet dancer Sarah Kaufman (11-0) will put her perfect record on the line against international star Roxanne Modafferi (15-5). Former light-heavyweight Shooto
world champion Erik Paulson has been in the MMA game long before the UFC.
One of the leaders and surely innovators of the game, Paulson has coached
and contributed to the MMA scene in a way few others could. With over 100
instructional videos, seminars and intensive personal training sessions,
Paulson has gained a well deserved reputation for being a submission master.
Since 1974, Erik Paulson has been training disciplines such as Freestyle
and Greco-Roman Wrestling, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Kali/Eskrima,
Catch Wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, studying first with Rorion Gracie
in `89. Paulson is the first American to win the World Light-Heavy Weight
Shooto Title in Japan - a title he defended for 5 years.
Paulson currently runs the Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW) Training Center
in Fullerton, California where he trains MMA fighters such as Josh Barnett,
Ken Shamrock, and Sean Sherk. He is the founder of Combat Submission Wrestling
and STX Kickboxing.
